I lead the development of Seed Software's critical solutions including the Command and Control software and the next generation of the Mobile Data Terminal used by a third of the firefighters in the UK.Besides architecting and developing software solutions, I also manage a team of developers and intern developers and I form part of the Seed Senior Management Team who oversee day-to-day running of the business including: managing the finances, preparing and participating in interviews for new staff members and intern developers, organising and attending client visits, organising and attending expo events, preparing and developing demonstrations, creating training packages and providing training for Fire Brigade IT staff.

Initially part of a team that developed the next generation Mobile Data Terminal (MDT2) for the Fire and Rescue Service which is used to despatch fire-fighters to incidents in various counties throughout the UK. The technologies I used in order to create the MDT2 include WPF, C#, LINQ, ADO.NET, MSSQL, MSMQ, TCP, C++, HTML, CSS.After a successful release of the MDT2 I was tasked to lead a team of developers to improve the Command and Control (C&C) system used by control room operators in three counties. This is a large WPF client and a .NET service that uses WCF as a communication layer. The server then interacts with a MSSQL DB using LINQ to SQL and Stored Procedures. After ongoing development the C&C has been described as 'better than ever' by clients and I have successfully refactored large portions of the C&C into single modules of functionality, interfaced with unit tests.

Worked as part of an agile team creating solutions for Fire and Rescue services throughout the UK on the .NET platform.Lead development of an Android application for the NHS to be given to 'at risk' patients for monitoring glucose and oxygen saturation levels so that doctors can detect problems earlier.Gained experience with- Using Scrum to manage workload- Using technologies such as C#, LINQ, MSSQL, ADO.NET and EntityFramework, SharePoint, Java, SQLite- Liaising with clients and deploying solutions both on site and remotely
