Joined Terry Guen Design Associates (TGDA) in early 2016 as a newly licensed Landscape Architect to further develop site design and construction administration skills where a firm focus is on detailed landscape design. I have the unique opportunity to participate in large-scale projects at various stages of construction such as major infrastructure enhancements or higher education campuses. My experience at TGDA has offered many challenges to meet green infrastructure solutions.

Joined Altamanu in 2011 after graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture. While at Altamanu, exhibited my graphic skills by producing complete plan reports and publications as well as the layout design and infographics for a wide variety of projects. Developed maps for The Chicago Department of Transportation’s Museum Campus Transportation Plan and the Chicago Trails Plan as well as document layout for CDOT’s Action Agenda and Pedestrian Plan. Also worked on multiple streetscape planning and design projects, multiple public parks, plazas and bike trails.

While studying full-time, I took any opportunity to develop my professional role in the discipline. While class was in session, worked part-time as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the College of Architecture. This position was based on my Program Director's recommendation as well as scholastic merit. During my first summer break, I held a respected internship at a prominent Chicago Landscape Architecture firm. Responsibilities included assisting in project production as well as continued development of firm marketing materials for project proposals.The job market during the second summer break proved to be difficult so I freelanced in residential landscape design. With an emphasis on spatial relationships and native material, I applied developing knowledge directly into the individual projects. Working on a scale rarely addressed in studio assignments, these projects allowed another layer of personal development, knowledge, and understanding of the profession as I entered my final year of formal studies.

I held an internship at this prominent Landscape Architecture and Urban Design firm. This strong team of design professionals mentored and assigned various tasks to help me gain better understanding on how the discipline worked outside of Graduate School.My responsibilities included assisting in project production as well as continued development of firm marketing materials for project proposals.

After working many years on-set with the sharpest photographers, designers, and cinematographers, working on the production side of national advertising campaigns, I opened my own photography studio to meet the marketing needs for table-top and product photography. With a solid visual aesthetic and technical expertise gained from past experience, my growing studio depended on my developing business sense and practice.
