My experience includes the provision of a range of social work interventions across health, education, community and local government settings. I am committed to improving health and wellbeing, reducing barriers to accessing services and enacting person-centred strategies for vulnerable individuals and families in the community.Passionate about community I am currently working as a key member of the Honorable Stephen Jones, MP, Member for Whitlam’s Electorate Office team where I respond to community members enquiries in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands.My previous roles included Student Support Officer with the Department of Education where I worked within the school community to enhance student wellbeing and learning outcomes in partnership with the wellbeing team and the school counselling service. Social Worker with the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District at Shoalhaven Hospital and Youth Worker with Top Blokes Foundation that addresses young men’s health outcomes and provides social education programs to young men and boys.With experience in providing person-centered support, counselling, and case management as well as training and psychosocial education in high schools and higher education contexts, I am passionate about fostering a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy in people's lives. It is my experience that people can achieve amazing things when they feel supported and are given opportunities to succeed. I am committed to inclusion, participation, and empowerment as well as the belief that with care and nurturing, every person can fulfil their potential.With qualifications in Social Work, Training, and Community Services Work I have most recently completed a Master of Leadership in Human Services. I am driven to continue to broaden my scope within Community Services sectors.
