Worked across two teams: Mezzanine / Private Credit (formerly DLJ Investment Partners) and Private Equity Co-InvestPrivate Credit: Primarily invested out of a $750 million direct mezzanine fund focused on junior debt and mezzanine investment opportunities that provide middle-market financial sponsors with mezzanine and junior debt capital to finance LBO and M&A transactions. Mezzanine investment team was acquired by Portfolio Advisors in 2015 from DLJ Investment Partners (Credit Suisse's private credit fund).Private Equity: Invested out of a newly raised $500 million equity co-investment fund focused on direct middle-market sponsored buy-out transactions. Direct-style due diligence alongside the controlling sponsor from early CIM stage through to legal documentation and funding. Due diligence included access and interaction with senior executives (CEO/CFO), 3rd party consultant reports and senior sponsor deal team members.

Industry agnostic M&A advisory covering both buy and sell-side transactions. Significant industry exposure to Industrials / Manufacturing, Business Services, Technology, Consumer, Energy, Real Estate and Healthcare.Worked closely with coverage group, Leveraged Finance team and potential buyers to analyze and present pro forma impact of various capital structure alternatives on leverage, EPS accretion / (dilution) and expected financial sponsor returns.Evaluated financial outcomes of M&A transactions by constructing standalone, leveraged buyout and full combination models. Prepared client presentations, managed sell-side transaction processes and conducted fairness opinions. Performed valuation analyses including, public comps, precedent transactions, DCF, Sum-of-the-Parts, liquidation and sponsor buyout ability-to-pay.
