In my role as financial analyst at Apollo, I acted as the primary facilitator of the Group's financial planning and analysis activities. I was heavily involved in the due diligence process for the merger of Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) and Apollo. During the merger process I was responsible for providing financial forecast data for assessment by thl and their advisors, providing data and responding to queries from the competition commissions, scheme booklet verification and assessing the deal model prepared by thl's investment bankers. My core FA responsibilities included:- Preparation and administration of the Group's annual budget and quarterly reforecasting process, using the Anaplan planning platform. - Acting as Apollo's primary Anaplan super user and I was the lead subject matter expert during the Anaplan implementation project, responsible for the scoping, design and development of the Group's planning model. - Financial modelling and analysis for the Company's RV rental and retail businesses, providing in-depth assessment of existing operations and proposed strategic initiatives for the executive management team.- Monthly review and variance analysis of Group financial results, providing the executive management team and Board of Directors with detailed commentary on key performance metrics. - Preparation of the full year and half year results pack (results presentation deck and ASX media release), presented by the CEO & CFO to investors and released to the ASX in conjunction with financial reports.- Detailed review of full year and half year financial reports, assisting the finance team with the preparation of financial commentary and required disclosures. - Ad-hoc financial analysis and data manipulation, providing financial data to support targeted sales and cost strategies.

I was responsible for managing the finance division (three direct reports) of Trilogy Funds, encompassing:- Ensuring compliance with all financial and tax regulatory requirements including preparation of general purpose year end annual reports and half year reports, tax returns and trust distribution statements, GST, FBT, PAYG.- Preparation and presentation of monthly reports to the board of directors, both at an individual entity and consolidated level, providing commentary and analysis of financial performance and operations.- Modelling of potential property acquisitions to determine the feasibility for syndication and ad-hoc analysis of other likely investment streams. - Member of Trilogy Funds' Verification and Drafting Committee responsible for planning, executing and reporting on new investment offerings to the Due Diligence Committee and Responsible Entity. - Group cashflow forecasting and budgeting.I also acted as chairman of Trilogy Funds' Treasury Committee and Investment Manager for the Trilogy Enhanced Cash product which involves:- Maintaining the cashflow model for the company's Trilogy Monthly Income Trust mortgage fund and authorising new loan submissions from a liquidity perspective. - Reviewing and adjusting the investment spread of Trilogy Enhanced Cash as necessary with weekly reporting to the Responsible Entity.

During my time at BDO (and prior to their merger with BDO, PKF) I managed a portfolio of both ASX listed and unlisted audit clients across a broad range of industries including retail, manufacturing, aged care and mining exploration in both the for-profit and not-for-profit sectors. My key responsibilities included: - Conducting financial analysis of client performance, both historical and projected, with detailed commentary to identify and address business risks.- Performing detailed reviews of audit files, client work papers and client financial statements ensuring compliance with numerous regulatory environments (i.e. Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules, Incorporated Associations Act). - Preparing statutory financial statements, including supporting schedules such as consolidation worksheets and cash flow statements for clients with varying types of reporting frameworks, specifically large pty ltd and unlisted public companies required to satisfy ASIC reporting requirements. - Preparation of internal business unit monthly reporting packs including analysis of results compared to forecast and budget.- Management of multiple junior staff assigned to relevant audit engagements and performance of staff appraisals on a bi-annual and annual basis.

At PKF I managed a portfolio of ASX listed and unlisted clients with varying corporate profiles and performed the same duties as those listed above for my tenure at BDO, as the two firms merged in July 2012.

3 month secondment with EisnerAmper LLP, New York.While on secondment with EisnerAmper LLP, I worked autonomously to audit a variety of hedge funds and private equity funds, reporting directly to the Audit Manager and Partner. I was responsible for all aspects of the audit including planning, field work and review of fund financial statements in accordance with the requirements of the partnership agreements governing the relevant fund.
