Created a Mission Design and Analysis Handbook to assist with proposal planning for Cislunar and Interplanetary missions by outlining workflows and estimating required efforts in terms of tool sets and man-hours required.Worked on trajectories for various NASA projects including crewed Mars missions, propellant depots at Cislunar Lagrange points, and crewed and robotic lunar landers. Designed trajectories including NRHO's and trans-lunar trajectories to enter NRHOs, DRO's, and more. Utilized powered and ballistic gravity assists as well as impulsive and low-thrust maneuvers. Created Python scripts for Copernicus to generate dispersion analyses and Monte Carlos.

Completed Systems Engineering tasks for the Advanced Composites Solar Sail System (ACS3), a 12U CubeSat demonstrating solar sailing capabilities for deep-space small satellite missions. Created a tool in excel to calculate orbital debris collision probabilities for the complex mission design. Verified results using NASA’s Debris Assessment Software. Created a technical package that verifies ACS3 meets NASA Standards for Limiting Orbital Debris. Used STK to determine optimal antenna placement, link budget, and ground station overflight scheduling. Drafted Interface Control Documents, Level 2 and Level 3 requirements, and NASA Requirements Compliance Matrices.

Developed software in C++ for NASA’s Beyond LEO Architecture Sizing Tool (BLAST). BLAST combines spacecraft subsystem sizing tools to estimate spacecraft masses and conduct parametric sensitivity trades of complex human spaceflight systems. BLAST was used to conduct parametric trade studies on a wide range of architectures for the Artemis Program. Evaluated various TLI trajectories, staging orbits, spacecraft designs, propellant combinations, and launch vehicles. Created presentation packages and communicated analysis to leadership to help inform Artemis campaign definition. Used a Lambert Solver in MATLAB to generate porkchop plots to explore possible crewed missions to Ceres.

Created a user-friendly mathematical model in Excel for high pressure vessels. This model allowed for input of height, width, substance level and vessel head style, and output the necessary safety precautions, including references to ASME and pressure relief systems. Excel sheet cut down calculation time by 95% and displayed results in deliverable format. Used model to create safety assurance packages for industrial contracts.
