Graduate Research AssistantPurdue University Dec 2021 - May 2023West Lafayette, In, UsPython and MATLAB software for Mission Engineering and Hypersonic systems. -
Space Operations Associate EngineerSpacex May 2022 - Aug 2022Hawthorne, California, UsDeveloped full-stack software and crew procedures to streamline Crew and Cargo Dragon mission operations. Authored databases, webpages, api endpoints, flight rules, ground procedures, displays flight software, mission timelines, and crew tablet products. Refined HLS Starship contingency responses to a variety of lunar surface EVA fault scenarios. -
Space Operations Engineering InternSpacex May 2021 - Aug 2021Hawthorne, California, UsCrew Dragon Operations Development. Certified as a Class A human-rated flight software developer. Developed new and improved crew flight procedures, upgraded the software architecture for the interactive visual displays, and automated mission-to-mission development and verification processes to safely deliver astronauts to space.Closed over 50 FSW tickets, wrote over 1500 lines of Dragon FSW, and reduced Crew Displays manual verification effort per mission from 80 hours to 20. -
Aerospace Engineering InternSierra Space May 2020 - Apr 2021Louisville, Colorado (Co), UsWorked with SNC Space Systems Advanced Development group. Worked full-time over Summer 2020 and part-time while at Purdue from Aug. 2020 - April 2021.Became the technical expert for beyond-LEO trajectory design, optimization, and analysis using Copernicus and STK Astrogator. Created a Mission Design and Analysis Handbook to assist with proposal planning for Cislunar and Interplanetary missions by outlining workflows and estimating required efforts in terms of tool sets and man-hours required.Worked on trajectories for various NASA projects including crewed Mars missions, propellant depots at Cislunar Lagrange points, and crewed and robotic lunar landers. Designed trajectories including NRHO's and trans-lunar trajectories to enter NRHOs, DRO's, and more. Utilized powered and ballistic gravity assists as well as impulsive and low-thrust maneuvers. Created Python scripts for Copernicus to generate dispersion analyses and Monte Carlos. -
Satellite Systems Engineering InternNasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration May 2019 - Aug 2019Washington, Dc, UsCompleted Systems Engineering tasks for the Advanced Composites Solar Sail System (ACS3), a 12U CubeSat demonstrating solar sailing capabilities for deep-space small satellite missions. Created a tool in excel to calculate orbital debris collision probabilities for the complex mission design. Verified results using NASA’s Debris Assessment Software. Created a technical package that verifies ACS3 meets NASA Standards for Limiting Orbital Debris. Used STK to determine optimal antenna placement, link budget, and ground station overflight scheduling. Drafted Interface Control Documents, Level 2 and Level 3 requirements, and NASA Requirements Compliance Matrices. -
Space Mission Architecture InternNasa - National Aeronautics And Space Administration Jan 2019 - May 2019Washington, Dc, UsDeveloped software in C++ for NASA’s Beyond LEO Architecture Sizing Tool (BLAST). BLAST combines spacecraft subsystem sizing tools to estimate spacecraft masses and conduct parametric sensitivity trades of complex human spaceflight systems. BLAST was used to conduct parametric trade studies on a wide range of architectures for the Artemis Program. Evaluated various TLI trajectories, staging orbits, spacecraft designs, propellant combinations, and launch vehicles. Created presentation packages and communicated analysis to leadership to help inform Artemis campaign definition. Used a Lambert Solver in MATLAB to generate porkchop plots to explore possible crewed missions to Ceres. -
Electrical Engineering InternJavan Engineering May 2018 - Aug 2018Fort Washington, Pa, UsReviewed and verified 10 Safety Assurance Packages for high pressure vessel systems using quantitative risk analysis and fluid dynamics as part of a $2.2 million dollar contract. Developed Electrical CAD models for conduit planning and face-plate design using AutoCAD. Interpreted client RS Logix programs used in the control and automation of Industrial Plants. -
Mechanical Engineering InternJavan Engineering Jun 2017 - Aug 2017Fort Washington, Pa, UsCreated a user-friendly mathematical model in Excel for high pressure vessels. This model allowed for input of height, width, substance level and vessel head style, and output the necessary safety precautions, including references to ASME and pressure relief systems. Excel sheet cut down calculation time by 95% and displayed results in deliverable format. Used model to create safety assurance packages for industrial contracts.
