In 2020, the company I worked for at the time was dealing with some issues, and one of the problems they faced was an inability to project revenue. I decided to teach myself Python and created an app that could scrape their in-house data management site, compile the information, and display charts and graphs to allow the CEO to easily see revenue trends, so that he could make better decisions for the company.In 2021, some time after my first big project, following the advice of a friend, I enrolled for a software engineering course with Hack Reactor. It was a nine month course in which I picked up a more professional and structured understanding of programming. In the beginning, we worked on the basic "hello world" problem in JavaScript, and at the end, I had worked on a team that simulated a real life working environment to deliver a web app to our "customers".Less than a month after graduating from Hack Reactor, I began my journey as a professional software engineer, leading to where I am today.
