Built a $100M+, 150-person company from scratch, creating one of the leading advertising networks in online travel. While all other advertising networks use data and machine learning to figure out which ads to show, Intent's customer segmentation algorithm predicted whether an ad should be shown in the first place. Raised $50M over three rounds from Matrix, Redpoint, and Insight.Relaunched in 2020 as Black Crow AI.

Following Travelocity's acquisition of lastminute.com in 2005, I crossed the pond to build and lead our European product management team, responsible for four key product categories supporting six regional P&Ls. I also managed the EMEA hotel supplier team. There were 165 people in my group.

The key motivation for Travelocity's purchase of Site59 was to accelerate the building of Travelocity's previously outsourced merchant (i..e wholesale) hotel and dynamic packaging businesses. I had product and P&L responsibility for the Hotels category, which grew from $50 million (2002) to $290 million (2006).In 2003, I added the role of Hotel Segment Manager for Sabre (Travelocity's parent company). This was a newly created role to drive strategy, synergy and communication across Sabre's hotel businesses (2006 revenue: $622 million). In 2004, I independently identified a new market opportunity for Sabre and championed the acquisition of Synxis as the cornerstone of what became Sabre Hospitality Solutions.

Site59 created dynamic, last-minute leisure travel packages, sold on Site59.com and also distributed via private label partnerships with travel websites such as Travelocity and Yahoo! travel. I played various roles in product management, strategy, operations, and sales.

Responsible for the opening operations of new units for high-end restaurant group, including revamping and standardizing our restaurant opening playbook. Supervised hiring and training of restaurant staffs of 100+ and managed 20-person national training team.

Learned the ropes of the restaurant business at Southwestern restaurant and tequila bar. Supervised all aspects of bar and restaurant operations while on shift. Managed schedule and labor costs for servers and bussers.
