Josh is also a producer and writer on documentary films.Josh holds a MA from Northwestern University, a BA from UW-Madison, and is a graduate of comedy and music studies at The Second City Conservatory and iO Theater Chicago. He is a freelance film and theater critic in Chicago for "The Chicago Reader" and other publications.Josh has worked as a nonprofit Executive Director & Founder, Development Director, Board member, Consultant, and grantor for a wide range of nonprofits with a focus in entrepreneurship, youth, the arts, education, diversity and social services. He quickly progressed to working in the nonprofit sector by founding the Chicago Institute for the Moving Image (CIMI) and the Festival for Cinema of the Deaf, the first of its kind. During his career Josh led film festivals throughout N. America, London, Moscow, Milan and Toronto. Josh has worked for other world-renowned film festivals such as the Miami International Film Festival and Chicago International Children's Film Festival, as well as led development for many organizations focused on youth, education, social justice, and the arts.
