I joined the WGN-TV sports team in late 2014 and am currently a sports reporter and anchor for Chicago’s Very Own. Along with daily reporting assignments, I enterprise feature story ideas on local athletes, coaches and teams. I host our 30 minute nightly sports show called GN Sports on Friday nights, and serve as a fill-in anchor for our sportscasts during.

Chicago

I produce and edit nightly and weekend sportscasts. Conduct interviews and work with photographers in the field covering all major professional Chicago sports teams, local college and high school athletics.

I hosted "The Saturday Morning Express" on the SEMO ESPN radio network, KGIR 1220 AM and 92.9 FM from 10-11 AM each Saturday. Responsibilities included creating original show content, organizing show segments and booking guests. I also fill-in hosted and produced "The Sports Huddle" weekdays from 9-10 AM.

Cape Girardeau, MO

I anchored and produced the weekend sportscasts and report during the week on sports in southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and western Kentucky. I shot, wrote and edited my own packages, always looking for interesting and unique stories to tell.

Memphis, TN

Worked as a multimedia reporter, producer, videographer and fill-in anchor for the NBC affiliate in Memphis. Covered the Memphis Grizzlies, the University of Memphis Tigers, Ole Miss and local prep athletes in the West Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas mid-south area. Produced the 6 p.m. sportscast and fill-in anchored on both weekends and weeknights.

Anchored, wrote and produced Monday and Saturday evening sportscasts for the NBC affiliate in Mid-Missouri, covering University of Missouri, Columbia College and local high school athletics. General assignment and feature sports reporter, shooting, editing and writing stories for air and the web. In fall 2010, reported and produced weekly feature segment.

Columbia, Missouri Area

Wrote and anchored sports stories for multi-platform news source that covered national stories using multiple source analysis. Stories aired on the iPad, iPhone and Internet site.

Represented the Missouri School of Journalsim, providing tours to perspective students and familes of the journalism facilities including KOMU-TV. I also helped with various journalism and alumni events, including the Missouri Honors Banquet and a college career fair in St. Louis.

Interned in the sports department for Chicago's number one TV station. Logged games and sound bites, interviewed players and coaches, helped report on the Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup run, Chicago Bears training camp and the Chicago Bulls possibly signing Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh in free agency.

I spent the summer living in Kinston, North Carolina working as a Broadcast and Media Relations Intern for the Cleveland Indians High A affiliate baseball team. I called play-by-play and color commentary for more than 80 games on the radio, interviewed players and coaches daily for pregame radio interviews, interviewd players for a weekly 30-minute TV show.
