• Provided hardware setup, BIOS, firmware, Windows Server, drivers, and other software installation & configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and support of prototype & production enterprise Itanium-, Opteron-, and Xeon-based HP Integrity, Business Critical & ProLiant HP servers, StorageWorks MSAs, and ProCurve switches to:o Increasingly remote HP Performance Engineering staff, enabling the production of over 2 dozen TPC performance publications.o Customers testing in the Enterprise Engineering Center (EEC) and SQL Server Customer Advisory Team (SQLCAT) labs.o Microsoft’s SQL Performance team.• Procured hardware and tracked shipments, inventory, and configurations.• Verified product information, pricing & availability for TPC Benchmark publication documentation.• Executed performance testing using PerfMon, xperf and internal testing tools.• Ran TPC-H workloads on various HP servers & storage environments, using SQL Server Management Studio and internal tools.• Consolidated 50 rackspaces of server hardware into 16 spaces for a lab move in Summer 2014, and had everything back up & running again the day after the racks were moved to another building.• Recognized by the Dragonhawk (Superdome X) platform team for leading the “Windows Server 2012 R2 / SQL Server 2014 / Superdome X / 3par” effort and being the HP point contact between the Microsoft & HP teams for all Win/SQL/SDX/3par efforts on campus 1H/2015.• Extended 3 times (4 months) past scheduled layoff date in order to complete hand-off of the Superdome X 10TB TPC-H benchmark effort to a remote engineer.
