Josh is focused on building the future with insects at the core of food waste and food security solutions, and divides his time between SE Asia and Latin America.He has hands-on experience with all facets of the insect space from farm to fork and across verticals including human food, animal feed, organic fertilizer, cosmetics, and more. He has served as an advisor and in executive committee roles with insect companies, international associations, and NGO's in Asia and the Americas. In 2020, in conjunction with Sibu® he co-founded Point68 Insect Beauty, the world's first high-end cosmetic line based on insect oil, and oversaw the design and production of the formula, brand, and packaging, which won Best Skincare Product at LOHAS Hong Kong 2021.The past several years he has also hosted events and presented on entomophagy (the consumption of insects and other arthropods) around the world at various universities, food expos, and startup events.In 2017 he created Entovegan, consuming more insect protein than anyone on the planet in an effort to demonstrate the efficacy of an insects + plant-based diet on his own body for 3 years. The results of his experience which he documented on social media and his blog were impressive, leading to entovegan becoming now a global movement aimed at bringing acceptance of edible insects to the plant-based demographic. Going back further, Josh spent more than a decade as a sponsored extreme whitewater athlete seen in mainstream media including the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Outside Magazine, Discovery Channel, FSN, and others.He was an early pioneer into remote work since the early 2000's, with his home and business base at the beach in Costa Rica. While traveling the world running rivers, he was also running his own marketing company, overseeing several US retail brands which grew from just a handful of locations to the $10M ARR range. For several years he also worked as a sports and lifestyle model for companies including Nike, Adidas, and Men’s Health, and directed outdoor sports events at the world championship level. After nearly 20 years in the whitewater sector Josh was named by Gear Junkie as one of the 110 Outdoor Ambassadors of the past 110 years.While very familiar with western cities and culture, he enjoys the chaos of growth and uncovering hidden potential in the frontier. He has been living and working in emerging markets for the majority of his life, with boots on the ground experience in 70+ countries.

So it's impossible right now in the US to simply sell a good natural and eco-friendly product without engaging in politics. The rational libertarian market doesn't really exist (they're not really "consumers" anyway).
