My research training has been extensively focused within the field of immuno-pharmacology, specifically addressing the issue of hypersensitivity arising form aberrant T-cell responses to typically safe and efficacious therapeutics, with the overarching aim of developing safer drugs and improving patient outcomes. Reaching the end of my PhD, I have developed skills in a number of immunological techniques, specifically T-cell cloning, immune-cell phenotyping, flow cytometry, ELISpot and ELISA in addition to molecular based methods such as T-cell bioenergetic analysis. In addition, the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic allowed me to relate my specific skillset to assist with multiple collaborative studies relating to T-cell responses to SARS-CoV-2 peptides. Show less

Cosmetics research. Worked independently to evaluate the use of different active ingredients for use in hair straightening products. Gained experience working with sensitive information and novel actives requiring compliance with company confidentiality agreements.
