I supervise projects, help my teammates when they get stuck, write documentation, go to meetings, answer questions, write many an email, review merge requests, estimate costs, answer more questions, plan architecture changes, evaluate new technology, make Visio diagrams, design APIs, train new hires, mentor 2-3 people per year, administer several systems -- QlikView, QlikSense, APEX, and GitLab -- and generally do whatever needs to be done to keep things running as smoothly as possible. And sometimes I work on my own projects :)

• Determined COVID-19 vaccination compliance for 14,000 employees by ingesting vendor-supplied flat-files then transforming and interpreting in QlikSense. The accuracy of this data was critical as it interfaced to our payroll system and was then used to disburse >$10 million of bonuses to compliant individuals• Collaborated with multi-faceted leadership team to elicit requirements, develop, and implement NCH’s COVID Routine Testing software (Qlik, Oracle, PL/SQL, APEX) which automatically notifies and suspends employees who become non-compliant to the COVID testing policy• Reduced drive-through COVID test scheduling wait times from ~3 hours to < 2 minutes by partnering with colleague to build an APEX application for symptomatic employees to self-triage and schedule. We received personal commendation from CEO and COO for development speed, UX, and smooth go-live• Wrote PL/SQL package that performs patient-safety checks, batches, and orchestrates migration of radiology studies between PACS systems (about 5 million studies to date)• Built all aspects of enterprise-wide Oracle Apex applications (database, PL/SQL business layer, Apex-native front-end)• Trained and mentored teammates and community analysts in Oracle Apex, Data Modeling, Qlik Scripting, and QlikSense Dashboard development• Led the implementation and cultural transition to Git-based version control by creating training videos, written documentation, and training sessions specific to our use-cases. Our team has migrated > 200 projects to GitLab

• Developed many bespoke QlikSense applications synthesizing disparate data-sources and servicing large user-bases, such as Social Work Productivity, is used by ~115 users / month• Implemented structured Peer Review process for our team• Authored re-usable Qlik subroutines to simplify common tasks for our team such as finding readmissions, pivoting EAV data and getting patient allergies at a specific point in time• Automated nightly replication of ~1TB Qlik QVD data from Prod to Test on a nightly basis using Python and winning an automation award (some PTO) as a result

•Developed the Morbidity & Mortality (M&M) APEX web-application to facilitate hospital-wide M&M conferencing. This was a continuation of work from previous role, but these two months were dedicated to seeing this through implementation. See "Projects" and "Publications" sections for more info

• Maintained the NCH Preventable Harm Index , the official record of all preventable harm inflicted on our patients• Managed Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE) for ~1,200 medical staff, in accordance to Joint Commission requirements, NCH by-laws, and legal requirements• Prepared slides and visualizations for Chief Medical Officer, board of directors (indirectly), and public-facing website• Wrote SQL queries to analyze inpatient, surgery, radiology, and billing data• Translated clinical, business, and regulatory requirements into relational models for web-applications• Managed implementation of Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) for additional clinical privileges

• Extracted and analyzed ~115 clinical / billing metrics for OPPE (i.e. report cards) for all physicians and APNs with admitting privileges• Wrote SQL queries to analyze and monitor quality improvement project outcome and process measures• Maintained Excel-based scorecards
