I grew up in the solar industry. I was in Elementary School the first time I worked on a roof, I led solar installations in Jr. High, and I was an expert technician running my family's solar business while in HS. During college I ran the OC-based company at night & on weekends while attending SDSU. After graduating with a degree in Business, I took a job as an installer with a small PV company in SD. I worked my way up while attending Grad School, and when I left the company I had an MBA and was leading the O&M Department, a department I had built.I've led Ops, Maintenance, and Tech. Services teams to record levels. My teams have met or exceeded 100% of production guarantees during my entire tenure in O&M and broke all-time company records for installation volumes four times in a seven-month period. I've built successful departments and cohesive teams. I’ve implemented operational policies, procedures, and safety standards in nearly every position I’ve held. I've written articles & been featured in national publications about O&M and system monitoring. I’ve led in-house and third-party trainings on system safety, production, monitoring, commissioning, quality control, and effective maintenance.Business leaders know me as a capable solar operations manager and shrewd negotiator able to manage production guarantees, increase staff productivity, & cut costs while increasing returns. Ops teams know me as an expert and mentor who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and show them how to get the job done right. I use my technical expertise to keep projects on schedule & under budget, and when faced with unsolvable problems I channel MacGyver to come up with out-of-the-box solutions.
