TechStar has been in business since 2000 and is head quartered near Houston TX. We supply instrumetantion and sensors that measure liquids and gases, level and flow rates, as well as, devices for process monitoring such as pressure sensors, temperature sensors and water quality analyzers. We are a one stop shop for instrumentation and automation components. We represent or distribute for a variety of companies such as Yokogawa, Magnetrol, APG, MSA Safety, Fox Thermal, Pulsar Instruments and Texas Automation Systems.

Worked with the company President to manage all of the sales and marketing functions of the organization. Spent most of my time responding to incoming requests for quotes and product information. Was responsible for the company web site and all marketing functions of the company such as literature, brochures, online and print advertising etc.. Attended trade shows and conferences as an exhibitor and presenter. Created YouTube marketing and training videos. Assited with the hiring and training of sales and marketing personnel.

In this position my responsibilities were to present the benefitsof chamber membership to businesses and organizations throughout the GreaterSalt Lake area. Duties included; sales presentations, cold calling, customerservice, managing a client database, travel to customer locations for meetingsand presentations.

Duties: Generate advertising revenue for the magazine. This was accomplishedby contacting Ad Agencies and company marketing personnel to arrange for salespresentations. I worked with companies such as; Nike, the PGA, Xerox, AT&T,Addidas and other fortune 500 organizations.
