I am a design engineer working in the customs group at BAE. I work with customers to provide them with the best possible piece of custom material handling equipment to meet their specific need.

As a design engineer intern I designed custom quality solutions for large companies throughout the U.S. I used Solidworks to design and detail many types of material handling systems. I spent most of my third internship with Bastian working on a large system of Intralox conveyor for a tire handling application. In addition to this project, I was a part of several other smaller projects that involved designing and detailing anything from a standard blade stop to a mechanical divert arm.

-Started an eBay store for BAE, selling parts that were no longer of use to the company-Completed .dxf drawings of many press brakes dies and programmed them into an Accurpress CNC press brake-Traveled to client site for 2 weeks all together to aid in getting the system up and running (this included: troubleshooting, making some changes on site, and actually installing components to our conveyors)-Designed and detailed many small leg extensions, adapter plates, and misc parts to modify existing conveyor in the field-Designed the prototype for a new series release by using the previous series model (made it wider, making the drive belt wider, making a few small changes to the side frame alleviating weld in a few places)-Performed many "pack and go"s in SolidWorks (made design changes, detailed, and released to manufacturing) -Programmed the Accurpress CNC press brake for a very high tolerance leg support job-Reverse Engineered a carrier for a VLM storage unit, detailed prints, and released to manufacturing-Redesigned a part for a conveyor so that all weld was alleviated and was a great time and money saver for the company-Worked alongside our Chief Technical Engineer to make some minor changes to a system in the field-Designed a conveyor "walk-over" for a food grade application

-Used AutoCAD to make the shop layout more efficient-Redesigned and completed a SolidWorks model of a die set-Created standard product manuals that will be used for ISO certification-Traveled to client site to replace and repair conveyor-Conducted prototyping tests-Assembled various conveyors and prototype conveyors to be shipped to clients-Created an HTML page to store all the documentation for the standard conveyor lines

-Performed unsupervised minor to major automobile repairs (oil changes, brake jobs, head and intake gasket replacements, air conditioning systems, minor electrical system issues, tires, transmission services.)-Trained two new employees-Installed and networked three computers to aid in the diagnosis of problems with automobiles
