• Started and ran in-house advertising agency for this chain of department stores, creating and buying media for all broadcast advertising.
• Successfully pitched national vendors (Levi’s, Liz Claiborne, etc.) to elicit $200,000+ of additional co-op.
• Conceived, wrote & directed all television commercials; wrote and produced radio commercials.
• Responsible for 2+ million dollar dept. budget. Recaptured expenses exceeded $600,000/year.

• Company evolved from video production to a boutique ad agency: producing advertising and marketing communications in a variety of media from print to electronic. Bought media for advertising clients.
• Selling: assessed needs, created solutions and budgets, wrote proposals. Trained/ managed sales staff.
• JHP clients included Hershey Foods, Blue Shield, and Common Cause.
• On the West Coast, wrote/produced promotional spots for Columbia Pictures & Westar.
• JHP grew to a staff of four employees with.5 million in billing and a string of national awards.
