At one point of time, I was responsible for the complete Engineering Organization.Was responsible for front end and back end systems that supported Chegg's textbook rental program. As a part of technical innovation we started moving certain legacy system over to Java to leverage some of the multi threading options in Java.Key Accomplishment:- Rewrote systems from PHP over to Java based on business needs- Created a better modularized code to help development across multiple teams- Remodeled back end system to help support the Oracle ERP needs. This improved the quality of our financial system from something that never reconciled to a state where the revenue numbers started tying to the bank payment received- Create a payment gateway system to hep centralize all the types of financial transactions happening from Chegg including money coming in as well as money going out of the company as a part of AP & AR process- Grew the team from 15 to 35+ engineers in little over a year.- Constantly evolved existing systems to support evolving business and also help in scalability

Some of the system that got built during this phase included:1) SMS ( Sourcing management system )- This enabled chegg to build a Purchase Order based system that allowed chegg to track an order with our partner on a per PO basis for better financial reconciliation2) EOC ( End of Cycle )- Built a system that allowed Chegg to send reminder notification for upcoming due dates or over due books as well as charge users for late shipment or unreturned books3) Marketplace Liquidation- Allowed chegg to sell books on third party marketplace via a third party seller program
