Design and development of UI used by internal call centers for handling information disclosure and disputes. During my employment I have been in charge of a UI redesign to bring our product in line with other LexisNexis applications. I have implemented javascript components for a standardized experience. Architected the application flow for new account setups. Migrated existing products from a legacy IBM mainframe to our new web platform. I also implemented an ant build script to improve code quality by adding tasks for unit tests, code documentation and code coverage metrics. Technologies include, PHP 5.3, Zend Framework, SOAP to .NET Web Services, YUI, Smarty, HTML, CSS, with heavy javascript/ajax/events with callbacks.

Principal Developer for a leading spam and virus filtering service. Built a PHP 5 - PostgreSQL based solution to replace the commercial Xamime filtering product including; a proprietary filtering system that allows Business Rules to perform actions based upon message content as well as metadata, a caching system composed of memcached instances combined with disk caching strategies, and a horizontally scaling architecture. The system handles email for over 5,000 domains, an average of 7.5 million messages per day. Our web portal is regarded as the best in the industry by customers and ex-customers who are familiar with comparable services such as MessageLabs (Symantec) and Postini (Google).

Development of new systems for internal and external use in a leading internet advertising environment. Built internal reporting utilities for the sales and accounting departments. Helped create the first draft of a local Google AdWords interface used to automatically monitor performance of campaigns and adjust our strategies in real-time without constant human monitoring.
