About Kalpesh Joshi

The story - From setting up telecom networks in the Papua New Guinea to the Taliban controlled Afghanistan, Josh Kalpesh, does not accept jobs that come easy. With almost three decades of experience mainly in sales distribution and marketing in five continents and 11 countries, his forte has been the Telecom and FMCG sectors in addition to multiple stints in retail, consumer durable, concept selling and consumer services. Working in different countries of most of the continents, with varied cultures and languages, and its own set challenges, Josh’s career graph is built with the multiple nationalities and global exposure. In the process he learnt the essential skills to survive, thrive and bring results for the organisations in any culture and geography.Josh’s courage and ability to stay calm and work even in disturbed societies with terrorism and civil war, made his career graph rise quickly. He has been through the most adverse conditions like a military commando - handling Talibans and surviving two car suicide bomb attacks in Afghanistan. Surviving a hostage situation, saving the kidnapped team to surviving a warfare between cannibal tribes in Papua New Guinea. Even surviving drug dealers, thieves and hardened criminals in police custody in Sudan which was just being torn apart in two pieces by communal forces. He is proud to have mentored, coached and developed local nationals as leaders in most of his assignments.
