In college, I was the VP of Finance at the Ohio University Sports Business Association, the world's #1 Sport Management Program's premier undergrad club. In my current role, I was responsible for all of the club's cash inflows and outflows for the year. I also tracked, recorded, and accounted for dues paid by members. Also, I worked with the club's President to budget and plan for the club's networking trips to various US cities to meet with professionals in the sport industry. I also assisted with the club's fundraising efforts to make sure the club has enough capital to pay for expenses. This role helped me learn how to financially manage a professional organization. I also enjoyed this role because it was a great blend of my passions of accounting, finance, and sport management.

In my role as a sales and use tax accounting intern I had many responsibilities. I filed food and beverage tax returns for counties within 5 different states. I also assisted in many audits and gathered data for tax analysts at MPC. I also worked on a variety of other tax projects and effectively communicated with my supervisor and associates to efficiently and accurate complete these tasks. I learned a lot about tax accounting at Marathon but was also exposed to many other accounting departments within the company. I can confidently say that the fundamental skills and accounting practices that I learned at MPC have thoroughly prepared me for my career after college!

In my role as an accounting intern for HCF Management, Inc. I gained very valuable experience and knowledge of accounting practices. My key responsibilities in my role included tracking and recording insurance company payments to each of the over 20 facilities under HCF Management control, imputing customer billing information into the company's CRM system, and processing credit card and petty cash purchases made by facility managers. The accounting disciplines and practices I learned from my time at HCF opened my eyes to how much I truly want to work in the accounting/finance field upon graduation.

Over the summer of 2019, I was an intern for the Lima Locos, a summer collegiate baseball team based out of Lima, Ohio. In this role I gained experience in multiple areas. One important aspect of my role as an intern was to coordinate with business executives in the Lima area to bring their employees and clients to a Locos game. This aspect of my role required constant communication with both the business executives and other Locos staff to ensure the event went smoothly. Also, I also gained experience handling cash inflows from games. I would account and record for revenue from the ticket gate and concession stand. Additionally, I would assist with general operations around the ballpark before the game started including setting up movable seating, dugout maintenance, and other customer service tasks.

As a result from being an active member of the Ohio University Sports Business Association, I was fortunate enough to be able to be selected as a volunteer for the world famous Daytona 500 in February of 2019. As a volunteer at the speedway, I assisted with general operations around the raceway as well as with fan involvement and managing of the exclusive garage tours provided to the racing fans. This opportunity showed me how much effort it takes to put on a sporting event as large as the Daytona 500 and also provided me with valuable experience that I can carry with me as I continue my professional development.

A groundskeeper at Moose Landing Country Club (formally Country Acres Golf Club) was my first job as I entered into high school. In this role I raked bunkers, trimmed around trees, mowed greens, and performed other general maintenance tasks around the golf course.
