Over the past 15 years I've been in various HR leadership roles in the tech industry. My roles have been business facing and focused on driving improvements through global talent initiatives while partnering with the HR functions. I made the switch after completing an MBA in organizational behavior and human resources at Brigham Young University. Essentially supporting advanced workforce planning initiatives - due to the constraints of the industry via security clearances and screenings, accurate metrics were essential in the decision-making processes around the numerous programs. Becoming extremely familiar with the metrics has given me valuable insight into the benefits of having an effective talent acquisition team. My major project included the creation of flash-based dashboards (Excelsius - or Business Objects) to provide strategic insight for staffing needs of current and future programs within the Aerospace BU and assisted in evaluating the performance of 34 recruiters. The dashboards analyzed the recruiter and hiring manager activities in order to provide the business unit leaders high-level analysis/impact of recruiting activities.Assisted in E-Verify initiative. Included auditing proper completion and cross-checking versus government data bases to ensure compliance with federal regulations for government contractors.Redesigned processes and organizational structure for the systems testing group in talent acquisition resulting in 33% increase in overall team efficiency (7 employees) over 8 week period. The team was transitioning to the Taleo applicant tracking system. Consulted with Director of Talent Acquisition to develop programs for improving inter-departmental relations and influencing employee behaviors. Core problem was functional understanding and cooperation between the interdependent groups. Developed tools to reduce the time required to produce executive reports by almost 90% (From 6 hours to 30 minutes)As part of tool development, created macros and documentation making transition of work more feasible.
