Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Josh spent much of his youth in the Western United States focusing his time on action sports, media, and events. After graduating from the University of Utah with a degree in Business Management and Tourism, he landed in the Dominican Republic managing the world’s first action sports based hotel, Extreme Hotels. This sparked his entrepreneurial spirit, and passion for developing experiences and ecosystems. Using his business development, strategic partnership, and project management skills, Josh entered the real estate development world in 2011. He has co-founded, co-developed, and co-managed 183,000 S/F of collaborative office space in Denver, Colorado. Battery621 is a 30,000 S/F collaborative office space that won the 2012 CBCA Workspace of the Year Award, 2013 Top Ten Small Business Workspaces, and 2014 Denver Business Journal’s “Top 5 Tech Spaces in Colorado”. Having been involved from concept to creation, Josh understands the importance of the curation and management of a business office ecosystem. As the Chief Operating Officer of FORMATIV, a full service real estate development company specializing in transformative urban projects and catalytic business ecosystems in Denver and nationally. FORMATIV is currently in planning and development for multiple projects in Denver, and Colorado Springs. Josh lives with his wife Hadley, and daughters Tatum and Presley in Denver, CO.
