Responsible for the business development and recruiting efforts for a national employee-based consulting organization. Managed the bench of full-time infrastructure engineers, and interfaced with the customer base to ensure utilization goals were met. Owned all facets of the company operations including time tracking, invoicing and HR.

Initial responsibilities at Norwin were focused almost solely on delivery efforts. Ensuring the virtual bench of candidates matched the current and future forecasted demand of the client base. In year 2, was responsible for all aspects of the company operations. Found and negotiated leases for office space, oversaw build-outs of the space as needed. Hired and trained employees. Managed all sales and recruiting efforts while maintaining my own book of business. Oversaw back-office operations. During my time at Norwin, our revenues went from just over $1mm annually to almost $20mm.

Was hired by Seek (name prior to Darwin) with no staffing experience. Brought in as a recruiter for the Unix team. Focused on identifying and presenting Unix developers and administrators to a national client base. Shortly after Seek transitioned to Darwin Partners, was promoted to run a team of 10 recruiters, responsible for a goal of $30mm annually. Coached, trained, hired and fired as part of this position. During 2002, as the economy slipped, we were forced to reduce the team size in the Application Practice from approximately 30 people to 2. As 1 of the 2 remaining, daily responsibilities became solely focused on driving business and revenues through traditional recruiting efforts. Became key point of contact for internal sales calls, recruiting, and subject matter expertise around infrastructure and application development technologies.
