I worked on the 12-Step Substance Dependency Treatment Programme as a Drug and Alcohol Counsellor. This required to facilitate Motivational Enhancement Therapy groups, Group Therapy and 1-2-1 counselling Sessions. Once clients have graduated from treatment I was required to write a comprehensive report that is sent to other professionals that are working with the client and conduct comprehensive assessments on clients before they are accepted into treatment.

I was required to facilitate groups of 12 prisoners on a 5-week CBT course, Prisons Addressing Substance Related Offending (P-ASRO). Whilst the clients were on the programme they would receive 5 individual 1-2-1 sessions, receiving a report at the end of the course highlighting their engagement throughout the course.
