As the HSEQ Advisor and Manager the main part of the role was to conform the Quality auditing to a high standard and keep it current with changing processes and documentation. Conforming to Audit schedules and exceeding projected numbers to ensure that Quality was accomplished without doubt.Handling HSE problems and reporting to authority as required, enduring the Service Risks are noted correctly and hazards are not just overlooked but worked on to be eliminatedReporting all HSE issues within WA project to HSE authority in East coast based Office Team.Handling Customer Complaints within Project Scope, dealing directly with customers and also clients in the resolution and conclusion to the benefit of both parties.As a Team leader the major part of the role is focused on building and managing relationships with Contracting companies, liaising between clients, 3rd parties and contractors to deliver the end result within timeframes and with a high quality of work, achieving KPI’s and short term goals.Providing direction and technical expertise to contractors and sub-contractors within the field on site as well as on-call, giving solutions to problems and shaping the contractors skills to project aims. Providing training and assistance for Contractors, fellow Team Leaders in regard to Cable fitting off and testing equipment. Forming processes with compliance and managing qualifications.Ensuring and implementing effective service planning, continuous process improvements and the mobilisation of forces to tackle high priorities.Running Day to Day operational activities and executing effectively, making sure all appropriate records and approvals are in place.Fault finding cable runs and testing equipment to tackle hurdles.

Fleet Support Unit Western Australia

Technical expertise of tasks within both Fibre Optic and Communications systems, including:Fibre Optic test, repair, plan and facilitate capability upgrades; coordination and maintenance of marine vessel and shore upgrades. Including fault finding, system alignment, refurbishment, overhaul, management of WHS representative duties, correlation of task quality processes, Job Safety Analysis and risk assessment reports. Plan, create, manage and close all tasks on both HMA Ships and Shore establishment services. Supervision and managing of junior technicians and perform technical training in fibre optic terminations, fusion splicing, testing and certification with both power meter and Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR). Maintain quality control of work, conforming to ISO, AUS and Defence Cabling Standards including task risk assessments and WHS processes and documentation. Base duty requirement for emergency response in security, first aid/ medical, fire fighting and toxic gas hazards.

Hmas Stirling Wa

Conduct shift work on satellite communication systems including fault diagnosis, Maintenance, rectification, system commission, de-commission, training, mentoring, planning, WHS, Field UHF systems maintenance and operation with advanced off road four wheel driving course and experience.

Hmas Toowoomba / Hmas Sirius / Hmas Stirling

Served over 2 years onboard ANZAC Class Australian Warship HMAS TOOWOOMBA and 18 Months onboard Auxiliary Oiler HMAS SIRIUS. Completed a gulf deployment, including north African horn, various Australian and Asian tasking. Involved technical fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, testing, fault finding and commission of complex communications equipment and sub-systems from Satellite, UHF, VHF, HF, Telephone Exchange, Sound Powered, Main Broadcast, Ships LAN, TV distribution for industrial, commercial and domestic purposes.Performed duties such as competency task progression for junior technicians. Maintained a high level of safety awareness including emergency response in ships fire fighting brigade and all other medical, toxic, combat or environmental hazards at sea. Completed technical reports and documentation within administrative LAN and hold ancilliary certificates (Navy-Based) for Boat Coxwains - 2010.
