I completed Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery specialist training in Yorkshire and I have completed hip and knee arthroplasty fellowships in Waikato (NZ), and Wrightington (UK). Clinical interests include primary hip and knee replacement and revision surgery. I completed a PhD at the University of Leeds investigating factors contributing to periprosthetic fractures of the femur after total hip replacement. This involved analysis of large datasets, statistical modelling, image analysis and mechanical testing of implants. I continue work in these areas as a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Bristol.
