I founded Sonduck in 2013 right after graduating from high school. At the time, I built Sonduck to provide small businesses with marketing tools such as video production, web design, animation, photography, and more. Throughout the years of providing successful services to our clients, I transitioned Sonduck from being a company that brings value to a small number of people to millions worldwide.With the launch of SonduckFilm in 2016, we have produced over 500 video tutorials on YouTube teaching creative skills such as motion graphics and filmmaking. We currently have over 1,000,000 viewers a month with over 500,000 subscribers. On top of our tutorials, we recently have rolled out several After Effects and Premiere Pro templates that have been used by thousands. Brands we have worked with consist of Aputure, Lumu, Shutterstock, Envato, and many other filmmaking and post-production companies.

I have three points of focus in which I value as a cinematographer: Photography, People, and Business. PHOTOGRAPHY: My job as a cinematographer is to serve the story and the producer/director of the project. I have a strong attachment to producing beautiful imagery, but I will not let that get in the way of what the story needs. At the end of the day, I’m focused on delivering what the production needs to get the job done.PEOPLE: In order to produce a great project, I strive to surround myself with crew who are dedicated and are good people. I strongly value the well-being of the people I work with and I make sure they have what they need to succeed. BUSINESS: My goal as a cinematographer is not only to produce what a project needs, but to make sure that the project does not exceed the budget in rental gear or other production cost. Looking further, I want my partners to use my footage to grow their production companies and to improve their portfolios. If my partners grow, I grow too.
