I am currently the Floodplain Coordinator and CRS Coordinator for Charlotte County, FL. I mainly review permits for compliance with the 50% Rule and review Elevation Certificates and surveys on new construction. I also serve as Chair of the Florida Floodplain Managers Association Board of Directors.From late 2014-May 2018, I worked as a CRS Specialist for the Florida Division of Emergency Management, on the Florida CRS Initiative. We helped local governments join, or improve their standing in, FEMA's Community Rating System, to protect people and property, and save money on flood insurance premiums.For 3 years, I was the Planning Coordinator (later Principal Planner) for the Town of Fort Myers Beach. I was responsible for updates to the Comprehensive Plan, Floodplain Management, GIS, and acted as the Community Rating System coordinator.For 18 months, I moved to my home state of Indiana and worked as a certified Grant Administrator in the small town of Farmland, Indiana. Beumer Consulting works with small communities across the state. My job also entailed performing labor standards interviews on construction projects with federal funding in my role as the Labor Standards Officer.I was previously a Planner for Lee County Department of Community Development, in the Zoning Division. Lee County is located in Southwest Florida, and has jurisdiction over such areas as South Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, North Fort Myers, Estero, San Carlos Park, Boca Grande, Buckingham, and Alva.I graduated in May 2005 from Ball State University with a Bachelors in Urban Planning and Development, with a minor in Spanish.Specialties- Certified Floodplain Manager - August 2012Proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint, and ArcGIS
