As a General Engineering Intern, I completed a comprehensive training program in facilities engineering, maintenance, and construction project management. This training included Project Management, HVAC Design, Controls, Balancing, and Commissioning, High Performance and Sustainable Building, LEED and Green Building, facility mechanical, electrical, and structural systems, and more. This was all in preparation for taking a permanent DoD position as a Facilities Engineer and Project Manager with the Department of the Army.In addition to the duties above, I was assigned to a number of projects as the acting Project Manager, from asbestos and lead paint removal and abatement, to full renovations of government facilities. As the PM for these projects I was responsible for writing detailed scopes of work, creating detailed drawings and calculations, including HVAC estimates, and interacting with project contractors to ensure quality control practices were being enforced.

The Grand Coulee Dam is the largest dam, as well as the largest power generation plant in the United States. It's largest generators produce 815 Megawatts of power, enough to power more than 27 million homes.As the Operations and Maintenance Mechanical Engineer, I was responsible for overseeing engineering projects related to the Right Rower House of the Grand Coulee Dam. I oversaw the day to day operations of six 125 MW generators. In addition, I was responsible for engineering safety into the power house, from structural analysis of the facility, to harnesses and sling loads of various rigging equipment.I also designed and managed various engineering projects using FEA, 3D design, and project management. This included the design and management of a 5,000 GPM pump system which brought water more than 60 feet out of a storage tank and into the tail bay of the dam.

My Masters program focused on the advanced fundamentals of engineer and product development. I have studied advanced structural, fluids and heat transfer concepts as part of a comprehensive education in the fundamentals.In addition, I developed a software package called "FireDrake" which designs and optimizes a full solar power design system for use in remote and stand-alone solar power. This software was used in conjunction with the development of an installation schedule in Mainpat, Indian, where I analyzed the community energy profile and used the software to develop an installation plan for distributed solar power system.My thesis focused on the design of the software, integration of factor analysis optimization, and the implementation of the project analysis by the software.

I produced a large range of supplemental content for various articles on a well-known informational website. I was able to create high-quality, compelling documents which served as examples, calculators, and assistance documentation for various how-to articles.

I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a 3.4 GPA. I focused in geothermal engineering, as well as completed two study abroad projects focusing on sustainable energy and environmental solutions for developing communities. These study abroad projects took place in Roatan, Honduras and Mainpat, India.

I worked at Television Services to assist in the production of news and sports media coverage for multiple programs. This included working as a field and studio cameraman for news and sports coverage, including studio news, live sporting events, and special event coverage.In addition, I assisted the production staff in story and sports production editing, selecting highlight clips, and editing footage to create programming.

FlagNEWS was a local news and talk program which aired through the college TV stations, as well as on the internet. While I worked with them, I was given a great deal of room for creative license. I worked at FlagNEWS as the cameraman, editor, writer, and creative producer. In addition, I assisted in finding underwriting for the show and, as I worked with TV Services at the college, I was also able to handle scheduling of the show.

For a short period of time I owned and operated a small television and internet commercial production business. I was able to produce a number of commercials, from the writing and concept, through approval with the client, and finally, production.
