Engineers Without Borders is a non-profit organization that aims to bring engineering and technical support to projects in developing countries. As the president of Clemson chapter, I plan to lead our club's implementation of a water protection system for Kagarama, a Rwandan village of around 1,000 families. I am humbled and honored to be selected for this position, and I can't wait to lead this amazing organization into the future.

During this role, I worked closely with both practitioners and technicians to build holistic experience in the prosthetics and orthotics industry. While with practitioners, I focused on direct patient care, diagnosis, and practitioner notes. Through this experience, I became familiar with the prosthetic timeline from amputation to definitive socket and learned what goes into patient care between sockets. While with the technicians, I focused on the casting, modification, fabrication, and lamination of artificial limbs. Here, I improved my technical and hand skills while learning how to properly align an artificial limb.

In this role I worked as an undergraduate researcher in the Booth Cellular Engineering Laboratory on a project to reverse engineer cancer cell redirection. Under the supervision of a PhD candidate, I gained experience in cell culture and lab safety practices while running assays to test for viability and protein contents.
