In my role as the Managing Director of the Lowder Center for Family Business and Entrepreneurship, I host entrepreneurial events, coach student startups, and coordinate regularly with university colleagues and external stakeholders. Additionally, I teach Essentials of Entrepreneurship as part of the Management department in the Harbert College of Business.

In my role as Founder and CEO of Overlay, I set the vision and mission for the company. As an early-stage startup, I also lead on a variety of fronts including management, product, business strategy, and fundraising.

In my role as the Assistant Director with the Alabama Entrepreneurship Institute (AEI), I manage day-to-day operations of the EDGE Incubator and Accelerator. I coordinate regularly with the City of Tuscaloosa, Chamber of Commerce, and other stakeholders. I also facilitate event programming, workshops, and startup competitions and have led the transition of many of these initiatives to a virtual format due to the pandemic.

In this role, I offer business coaching to both student and community entrepreneurs. I also assist with events and establish processes and data tracking for the new EDGE Incubator and Accelerator facility.

In this role, I helped to establish strategy and company priorities. I lead financing efforts and assisted with building relationships with external clients. Additionally, I managed the day-to-day operations of the company and HR functions for the business.

In this role, I was responsible for managing the online presence of CCHS, UMC, and Family Medicine Residency. This included design and maintenance of the associated websites and social media accounts.

In this role, I served as business and technical lead for the company. I also set overarching goals, managed publisher negotiations, and accounting.

In this role, I was responsible for the research, development, planning, implementation, and technical support of courses delivered online. I also provided training to faculty and staff on related topics.

In this role, I explored and implemented the use of emerging technologies for instruction, outreach and assessment. I also assisted with the development of reference guides, learning objects and other tutorials.

In this role, I provided research counseling to faculty and students in one-on-one and group sessions. I also collaboratively coordinated the department’s special projects, such as videos, workshops and the campus-wide Super Searcher contest.
