Josh began his business career as an independent construction contractor. During this time he gained first hand knowledge of challenges entrepreneurs in competitive industries face concerning sourcing suppliers, hiring staff, and servicing the customer. This experience of being "on the other side of the professionals desk" puts him in a unique position to connect with business owners. Josh earned his Bachelor of Business Management degree from Concordia University. During his time at Concordia he was the recipient of the Jimmie Condon Athletic Scholarship, Alexander Rutherford Scholarship, and the Concordia Academic Scholarship. He also led the winning team in the Concordia management simulation challenge against other 4th year students. Josh completed his management degree upon completion of a practicum with the City of Edmonton in which he was charged with developing cost effective environmental solutions for City of Edmonton Recreation facilities. Josh has worked exclusively in public practice since 2008 and successfully wrote the Uniform Final Examination (UFE) into the Chartered Accountant profession in 2010 after passing each module of the Chartered Accountant School of Business program on the first attempt in a compressed schedule. Josh is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and enjoys helping clients establish efficient systems to obtain reliable financial information.
