Perform paramedic level emergency medical treatment to provide the most extensive pre-hospital care. Perform routine medical technician duties in the Emergency Room, acute care clinic, primary care clinic, or similar type location. Calculate dosages considering such factors as potential interaction with other medications, concentration of drugs immediately available, patient weight, etc. Obtain information from patient required to check-in and screen patient and completes required documentation to include computer data inputs. Obtain and record vital signs and other pertinent medical history and preparing patient as appropriate for a nurse or physician. Assist a physician in treating emergency patients within the scope of practice as a licensed EMT-Paramedic. Perform pulmonary resuscitation when breathing fails to start upon the opening of the airway. Obtain and record vital signs and other pertinent medical history. Transfer patients to the emergency department, report observations and care given and assist in providing emergency treatment.Key Accomplishments:•Coordinated with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to develop a comprehensive illustrated Ebola (EVD) Operations training program, which was subsequently delivered to federal and contract staffers, as well as state leadership and local area healthcare agencies. •Developed and administer a comprehensive continuing education training program to ensure medical staff remains competent in their ability to provide the highest quality of care. Processes initiated include online learning module creation and delivery, adaptive testing, as well as classroom-based lecture and practical skills application maneuvering.•Deployed business intelligence initiatives, as well as vendor comparison, ROI calculation, and contractor negotiation strategies and techniques, to implement a paperless office environment resulting in an annual cost-savings of over $62,000.00
