Responsible for security leadership, oversight, and development for the Swedish Medical Center First Hill campus. I conduct all security training across the Swedish system consiting of 7 campuses and over 80 security personnel. Our goal is to help patients, visitors and staff feel safe in the environment as well as provide the best customer service oriented security possible. I continue help provide security vulnerability assessments utilizing the CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) principals for all of our campuses. I'm currently a national speaker on active shooter preparedness and response, a defensive tactics instructor and a TASER instructor as well as support the Workplace Violence Committee and teach new clinical caregivers on restraint applications.I continue to strive to align my department with Swedish's overall financial goals such as OT reduction, B2B (back to budget) initiatives and meeting top productivity percentiles. I currently oversee a budget that consists of approximately 2.5 million dollars and succeed in meeting the goals and benchmarking targets.Staff engagement is a priority of mine. Supporting my frontline staff, building moral and maintaining a positive working environment are all very important to me as a leader.

As a principal consultant, I am able to evaluate your property, business or area of concern utilizing different methods such as CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design, and expanded security, risk and hazard vulnerability assessment tools. Oversaw all operations to include patrol, onsite security, fire watches, armed and unarmed guard services, alarm response, special events, details and training. I was responsible for upholding the laws of the State of Washington as a sworn Police Officer. I responded to all 911 calls of emergency nature as well as conducted standard vehicle and foot patrols of the City of Normandy Park. I conducted regular vehicle traffic stops, DUI’s and responded to numerous suspicious person, burglary, theft and domestic violence calls. I utilized CPTED (Community Crime Prevention through Environmental Design Principals while working as a Police Officer and worked well with our community leaders designing spaces that had more natural surveillance and access control. Furthermore, I also volunteered my time with the Algona and Kent Police Departments prior to being hired on with the City of Normandy Park.

Serving as Vice President and Operations Manager for Washington Patrol Division I had the responsibility of training all of our officers (20+) as well as conducted client relations. I met with current clients daily and signed contracts with potentially new clients as well. I patrolled throughout the week on the graveyard shift with my officers and also worked several special events in which they hired my company to secure. I had conducted several motor escorts for funerals, presidential dignitaries and celebrities. I conducted weekly safety briefs with clients and ran them through CPTED (Community Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) methods for their particular properties.
