As the Director of Tech Talent Advancement, I focused on engineering new systems of empowerment as a part of the innovative Ecosystem Team at Kapor Center. Building on my work as Latinx in Tech Program Manager, I expanded my scope to help provide resources to all people of color working in tech advance more quickly into senior leadership. Through programmatic work, I created more equitable access for communities of color with the ultimate goal of building more generational wealth for underrepresented communities.

Co-Founded and led the strategy, operations, and implementation of LTX Fest, the largest national gathering created by and for Latinx in Tech. Our launch event in 2018 brought together over 300 attendees and over 40 Latinx leaders speaking on subjects across 3 tracks over two days in Oakland, CA. Under my leadership, the event grew in scale significantly in 2019 to serve over 1,400 attendees with events held in both San Francisco and Oakland. We were proud to bring in Latino Community Foundation and Latinas in Tech as partners to help us realize the dream of having an agenda consisting of:Over 26 lightning talks covering topics from philanthropy to fundraising to biases in AI.17 panels with leaders in VC, activism, government, research, and even media.8 keynotes, including one from US Treasurer Rosa Rios on the power of financial literacy in Latinx communities 144 Latinx leaders and speakers reflecting on intersectionalities, imposter syndrome, entrepreneurship, generational wealth, and other issues of urgency in the community
