In January 2022, I left Rawmarsh Community School to take up the role of Assistant Headteacher at Clifton Community School.

After having completed my PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University, I accepted a position at Rawmarsh Community School, the school where the majority of my School Direct placement took place.As part of my time at Rawmarsh Community school during my year as an ITT, I taught my own lessons from the offset, giving me the advantage of having spent much more time in the classroom, which is what I perceive as the best way to improve as a teacher.As well as the usual responsibilities of a teacher, I started a Language Leaders club, in which students run and organise Language Events in which their fellow pupils can take part. I have also assisted on school trips, both in the UK and abroad.

I previously worked as a freelance translator, specialising in the engineering and manufacturing sector. The job entailed dense translation of several documents from French and Spanish into English, as well as occasionally from English into French and Spanish. The documents included instruction manuals and product descriptions, and the job also entailed working to a schedule defined by the customer.

As a Matchday Programme Seller at Leeds United, I worked on each and every matchday, selling the matchday programmes to any supporters that are attending the game.

This job involved me working both as a barman and as a waiter in the hotel's restaurant. There were various tasks which I had to complete, depending on the events that were taking place at the hotel.

As part of my undergraduate degree, I spent a year in Spain, working at IES Virgen de la Paloma, Madrid. The job involved being an assistant in the English Department, helping the students improve their English skills.As well as the teaching obligations of the job, I translated several documents and contracts from Spanish to English (and vice versa) as well as from Spanish-French. Moreover, in March 2014, I undertook the role of an interpreter for the week, as a group of Danish students visited the College, and they were unable to speak Spanish. I was given the task of interpreting for the group so they could follow the classes and communicate with the teachers and other students.

I worked as a freelance translator for Wasim Younis, translating 2 books which he had written from Spanish to English.
