I was hired at Yeshivat Noam to bring the school’s IT capabilities in line with their needs. I brought the management and support of the IT infrastructure in house, while moving key services like email and backups to cloud providers for stability. I removed the consumer grade network and built a high-end wired and wireless network to support the 170 staff and 800 students at the school. I wrote and implemented a disaster preparedness and recovery plan that was tested during Hurricane Sandy, as well as several large snowstorms. I wrote, delivered and continue to maintain security awareness training for all staff. I also created IT wide documentation and acceptable use and security policies for all technology use.In the four years I have been at the school I have grown the IT department to three people, while the schools technology footprint has exploded to more than 1000 computing devices plus ancillary support equipment/servers/printers/networks.
