After I had completed my management training and started my University studies in Accounting, I wanted to start some practical experience so that I can apply what I learn at University in my work place early on.I started working weekends in a family business where I was introduced to the family orientated culture and found how important this is in a work place even if all the team members are not actually 'family'.The experience that I gained started off being;- MYOB Accountants Office - Microsoft Excel and spread-sheeting data- Customer Service Furthering my experience I started working alongside management to 'work on the business'. This included;-Creating proposals for large clients to develop a relationship with to service and provide for, such clients included the Wellington Zoo.- Preparing sales forecasts and tracking monthly sales- Preparing purchasing forecasts based on previous months sales

I developed my way through the roles starting off as a crew person leading up to a shift manager as well as running the training team in the restaurant.I became a Shift Manager at the same time as leader of the training department. I had 10 trainers that were in the team and we had our own goals and objective as well as the stores goals.Further to that I had the following responsibilities:-Organise Monthly Meetings-Develop weekly training plans-Create quarterly goals-Communicate training standardsWith this responsibility I also had the responsibilities of being a Shift Manager. My responsibilities were:•Team orientated and leadership•Trouble shooting•Time management •Problem solving•Managing staff•Constructing/hosting meetings with crew and management staff and presenting results.•Patience
