Provide management support to team members such as pipeline management, pulling and monitoring of daily quality reports, performing requested system tasks for underwriters, and answering escalated underwriting policy and specific loan scenario questions. Additionally, support processing and closing staff with regards to loan inquiries (loan amount changes, conditions review, decision engine warning clearance) and rush requests. Operate in a training and counseling capacity for new underwriters seeking to submit audit files to Risk Manager’s for review in order to obtain their credit signature. Maintain credit authority. Assist underwriting manager in all other assigned tasks.

Underwrite conventional loans (conforming and jumbo). Credit Authority to $750,000.00. Analyze borrower’s credit profile, income and assets and collateral in order to properly make a decision on approval, counter offer or denial of loan applications. Instruct processors and sales consultants in completing applications as well as determining possible counseling options in decline scenario’s in order to get borrower’s approved for financing. Position requires extensive experience with Desktop Underwriter as well as Manual underwriting (fully versed in Fannie and Freddie HAR programs).
