Maintenance Specialist
CurrentMachine tool diagnostics and repair under ITAR and FAA regulations. Heavy focus on Fanuc controls. I usually get tasked with the heavier critical thinking jobs such as when alarms or intermittent issues occur that require higher level troubleshooting such as malfunctioning Sensors, Drives, Human Machine Interfaces, Power supply modules, I/O modules, PLCs, Ladder logic, Servo motors, Slip rings, Geometrical inaccuracies, etc. If I cannot figure out the problem myself, I communicate with the equipment manufacturer to come up with the best course of action to do so. Experience working on Large SNK and Makino 5-Axis milling machines both Gantry and Horizontal. Experience compensating machines using Renishaw ballbar. Exposure to Pitch Compensation via laser calibration.Going beyond my scope of work, In my personal time I document the repairs I have made and create detailed procedures utilizing microsoft office. These procedures include step by step instructions on major machine component diagnostics and repair to aid myself and others in the future to facilitate the quickest and most accurate repairs possible. I am a firm believer that no problem should take near as long to resolve the second time as it did the first.
