Growing up, watching movies that delve into the business world always sparked ambition inside of me. I'm a very competitive person, always have been, and the challenge of elevating your status within a firm sounded like a dream. As a very extroverted person, I thrive on human interaction. The business world seemed like the perfect fit to allow me to exercise my competitive nature and satisfy my aspirations to build strong relationships with others.Being a Tuscaloosa native, my decision to attend Auburn University was certainly controversial. Yet through my short time here I have learned things about myself and the world that solidified my career path choice and my purpose. I adapted alongside the owner and other employees as we learned together how to run the business most efficiently. My activities included: preparing dishes, cooking food, taking orders on the phone and face to face, working the cash register, waiting tables, bagging dishes, minor technological and mechanical repairs, supervising and training staff members, etc. As time went on, my professional relationship grew with upper management and I developed a close connection with the owner and his family.
