I am a 22 year old high-energy individual who is currently studying Business Technology Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University). Before pursuing a degree in business, I studied 1st year Computer Engineering. After 3 months into my 2nd year, I decided to take a break from school to further develop my professional workplace skills.Once I transferred programs, I joined a student club called the TMU Gamers Guild (TMUGG), a club that is aimed to create a safe space for all different types of gamers within the TMU community. I joined as a "Marketing Executive", where I was tasked with creating an online presence for the club. To achieve this, I began researching popular trends on various social media platforms that were commonly used amongst the student body. After my research and utilizing what I learned from the “Marketing” bootcamp, provided by TRSM, I began creating engaging content on TikTok and Instagram. This culminated in over 1000+ followers and 150,000+ views across all social media platforms, ultimately promoting me to “Vice President of Marketing”.In addition, I have gained a plethora of workplace skills from working various positions within the restaurant industry. I believe that working in the restaurant industry has the ability to make anyone work any industry due to many transferrable skills you learn while on the job. After my first job experiences as a Line Cook and Food Server, I was able to develop vital skills in a fast-paced environment that would make me an asset to any team such as;- Becoming self-sufficient, while being able to multitask- Developed leadership qualities, able to lead a team of 6-8 people with like-minded goals- Teamwork with others on the foundation of trust and respect
