Working on surgical robotics in the Collaborative Haptics and Robotics in Medicine (CHARM) Lab

Worked with a small team of engineers in New Product Development on evaluating new Surgical Robotic system designs. In this role, I designed, documented, and produced official life-test fixtures in a regulated and design-controlled environment. I then conducted official testing with my fixtures with the results of my tests being included in an FDA 510k submission.Additionally, I conducted official testing for design cut-ins and ran formal and engineering test scripts using MATLAB.Lastly, I designed another engineering life-test fixture for component level testing allowing my team to quickly compare different component suppliers

•Currently working with UC Berkeley Professor David Bogy and UCSF Professor MD Byron Lee on improving medical devices used in pacemaker lead extraction surgery.

•Currently leading development of a Biplane Rear Wing design in ANSYS Fluent with early prototypes demonstrating a >5% increase in rear wing downforce.•Designed a new floor-based undertray mounting system concept that does not require bodywork removal to mount/dismount undertray.•Worked with subsystem lead to optimize our subsystem Computational Fluid Dynamics Simulation guide, drastically cutting simulation setup times.

•Designed a 3D printed model of our car used as rewards in our team’s most successful crowdfunding campaign to date exceeding 135% of our donation goal. •Responsible for the entire production pipeline (filming/animating, editing, rendering) of Berkeley Formula Racing’s 2020 North Bay Science Festival Showcase, 2020 Season Kickoff trailer, and helped produce our 2021 Crowdfunding Video.

Worked closely with design studio and engineering staff to develop a novel Unreal Engine simulation that predicts whether stones kicked up from tires will damage body panels.My simulation was able to match the accuracy of Ford's existing simulation while introducing real-time feedback and hot-swappable vehicle models all with photorealistic graphics. This enabled non-technical design teams and executives to better understand engineering requirements by presenting them in an intuitive manner.

•Designed and 3D printed a mission critical support for the robot’s gripper connector.•Designed, sourced, manufactured, and installed a new pastry shelf at the SFO Terminal 3 location on a tight timeline.•Responsible for entire ice dispenser development process from CAD modelling to actual installation into the latest generation of robotic coffee bar. •Assembled/manufactured and revamped engineering drawings for numerous components ranging from delivery bays and iPad mounting to refrigerator and cup disposal system.
