Joshua Abiodun OGUNWALE is a Linguist with over 18 years of experience in teaching and research. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Ed. , Masters of Arts and Doctorate degree in Yoruba Language from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria. He currently teaches as an Associate Professor lecturer in Department of African Languages and Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, Obafemi Awolowo University , Ile-Ife - where he had held various positions. He has experience in teaching a number of topics in Yoruba language with special interest in Onomastics and Morphology. As part of his work experience, he had supervised - both internally and externally - many postgraduate and undergraduate students, and also served as mentor to others in the institution. Furthermore, his research publications have contributed significantly to knowledge on Morphology, Onomastics in African Languages specifically Yoruba Language in Nigeria and beyond. He is a member of Yoruba Studies Association of Nigeria(YSAN) and American Names Society (ANS) .
