    As an Operator for Clearas I took myself out of my comfort zone of software project management to work on new, exciting technologies for improving wastewater treatment while using a sustainable product. In this position, I was routinely thrown head-on into new challenges and was able to foster a mentality of positivity and team-work that helped me become a successful employee. Having no education in this field I was able to come in with a fresh perspective and learned many new skills. These included water chemistry, hydrodynamics, instrumentation installation/troubleshooting, and project-sensitive communication techniques that helped me balance critical operations with project stakeholders. I worked on two major projects with Clearas. The first, was a 4-month pilot project in Millwood, MA. During this project, I not only managed and maintained over $250,000 worth of equipment independently, but I also was the lab technician completing all the required testing and reporting to both Clearas management and the customer. The success I experienced in this project prompted the company to send me to Spokane, WA for my second project at Inland Empire Paper. During this project, we set out to do a higher level commercial pilot project in which I reported to IEP's Environmental Engineer and Environmental Manager on all major aspects of the project. That included equipment maintenance, lab testing, and reporting. During this project I was able to expand upon my lab testing experience as well as my experience installing and troubleshooting various types of equipment.
