Managed controls Engineering projects to support new product introductions and existing equipment installations using GE/Emerson and Allen Bradley PLCs. Wrote RFQs for various controls equipment to ensure project scope was accurately and clearly captured. Managed installation of new control systems to ensure equipment specs were met safely, on time and under budget.

Managed production within plastic injection molding facility supplying parts to multiple manufacturing plants. Ensured daily production goals were met by co-ordinating response to equipment issues with Process Technicians and Maintenance Technicians. Verified part counts to ensure quantities on hand were at needed levels, organized mold changes to minimize impacts to OEE. Developed Production Capacity tools to identify injection molding press utilization, min/max/average cycle times, and yield to ensure that forecasted part demands could be met. Replicated existing custom end of arm tooling using SolidWorks for 3D printing to reduce turn around time and tooling costs. Lead operator placement at start of shift within union guidelines to ensure equipment downtime was minimized due to absenteeism.

Lead day to day activities of company wide equipment lock out tag out (LOTO) safety program. Assisted in managing team of equipment safety experts in assessing manufacturing equipment to across multiple manufacturing facilities to ensure that LOTO procedures safely and efficiently allowed assembly, fabrication, injection molding and painting equipment to be shut down and all energy sources de-energized for cleaning and routine maintenance tasks while still allowing troubleshooting and debugging to be accomplished.

Managed the planning and implementation of the Scheduled Ship lanes out of the Decatur Alabama refrigeration plant. Worked with cross functional teams in transportation, deployment and warehousing to manage and track the performance of shipping carriers. Ensured that in stock and deployment accuracy goals were met on Scheduled Ship lanes.

Assisted in managing the quality of contract manufactured electronic components such machine control and user interface boards for use in laundry, dishwasher, refrigeration, and cooking products. Managed Production Part Approval Process for process changes and component changes of electronics. Determined root cause of premature failure of circuit boards and their components. Worked with suppliers to ensure corrective and preventative actions were taken to minimize failures.

Worked in cross-functional team to conceptualize and design systems to manufacture bottom freezer French door refrigerators. Modeled conveyor and door sequencing equipment in AutoCAD and developed bid spec to receive quotes from equipment suppliers. Qualified for production multiple door foam insulation fixtures used in automatic foam injection systems. Worked with tool and die teams to alter fixtures to ensure doors met design specification.

Supervised production on clothes washer manufacturing line with over 130 hourly Union employees producing 1,500 units in an 8 hour shift. Responded to Andons and other issues on the manufacturing line to ensure that production goals were met.

Assisted in management of cost of quality audit labs for laundry care appliances. Created and updated Manufacturing Control Instructions describing End of Line Audit procedures for lab technician use. Investigated defects found by lab technicians and performed root cause analysis to determine issue behind the production of defective units. Worked to develop and test rework methods to repair defective products.
