In a combat environment it is my responsibility to allocate assets to and facilitate specific missions at the battalion level to the lower echelons known as a company. At the battalion level I organize multiple assets such as artillery, mortars, fixed wing aircraft and Army aviation using computer operated systems, radio systems, and Microsoft formats. A battalion is a military unit with 300 to 1,200 soldiers that usually consists of two to seven companies. During garrison times it is my job to educate, mentor and train a team of 2 to 45 personnel on what the profession requires, as well as conduct airborne operations. Airborne operations require jumping out of various aircraft using a parachute in order to control key terrain.
