- Daily management of diamond drill rigs (plods, surveys, memos, on-call night shift).- Creation of drill plans for drill programs with individual holes ranging from 5-1200m in length, with planned directional drilling including NAVI, wedge and barrel/bit changes).- Database management including analysing survey accuracy (multi shot, single shot and gyro), res-validating drill holes.- QAQC of results, including the analysis of drill core and photos for drilling issues (Core length or volume loss) or logging/sample issues (sampling lengths) and Input into AcQuire/Minesite and, identifying and reporting significant intercepts.- Assistance of technical staff, identifying and eliminating risks (JSA’s, area inspections, safety contacts) promoting a safe working environment.- Liaison with many different professionals, including: drillers, supervisors, environmental scientists, technicians, mine and resource geologists and underground crews.- Training of geology vacation students, loggers and graduate students.- Interpretation geology from drill core in areas with little data, producing reports and presentations to communicate developments to the other geology departments.- Compiling weekly and monthly reports, detailing drilling, geology and significant intercepts for senior management and corporate staff to read.- Soil sampling (NMI method) over exploration lease to test for the potential extension of mineralisation north of historic open pits, under cover. Compiled method for planning, collection, sifting, testing (in-house Ph) and consignment of samples to an external lab.

Safely contributing geological services through visual inspections, mapping, sampling, geological interpretation and managing underground grade tenor. This role focuses on developing a proactive attitude towards risk management, utilising a variety of mediums including written and verbal communication with stakeholders and management to maintain 'zero harm' within the workplace.

Safely and efficiently geologically log and process diamond drill core in line with company policy and procedure. The role places high emphasis on the quality of geological observations and data entry ensuring timeliness and accuracy in all facets of the process.
